Melody Music Academy was founded in 2001 by John Park (BMus) and Linda Kim (BMus), professional musicians, multi-instrumentalists, composers and dedicated music educators.
We are a husband-and-wife team with extensive experience as performers and teachers. We are very passionate about helping students reach their full potential and develop a lifelong love of music. We harness our professional performing experience and share the wide ranges of our expertise in our music classes.

We believe that everyone can learn to play and enjoy music. The key is in to be taught the right way. That means having a teacher who understands the learner’s needs, and responds with a personalised approach to help them achieve their goals in the most effective and enjoyable way.

We studied music together, and have been playing, creating and teaching music together for over 20 years.

- Bachelor of Music (performance) from the Australian Institute of Music in Sydney
- Certificate for music educator from the Soongsil Conservatory in Seoul in South Korea
- Full memberships of the Music Teachers’ Association of NSW
- Accreditations as teachers of piano, violin, guitar and theory from MTA
- Academic instructor at the Australian Institute of Music
- Certificate IV in Training and Assessment
- Performed at Sydney international music festival, The Concourse, The Fox Studios Australia, Sydney Metro Theatre, Sydney Korean festival and more.
