I have been learning guitar with Joni at Melody Music Academy for almost four years. After many, many years taking my children to music lessons it was time to indulge my lifetime desire to learn guitar.
It can be intimidating as an adult to begin at the very beginning but Joni is instinctive and intuitive and the lessons calming, therapeutic and fun. Joni is so accomplished in every style of music and many instruments.
My daughter first started at Melody Music Academy learning piano with Linda. She enjoyed it so much she has also taken up guitar with Joni.
Both Linda and Joni are very patient and encouraging. Wonderful teachers. I have recommended them to other parents.
During the past two years here, I’ve seen myself improve a lot and have learned to enjoy playing the violin. The teachers are great, the lessons are always fun and interesting.
My Daughter has been learning Piano at Melody Music Academy for over a year. The School taught her good habits such as practising regularly and note reading exercises which helped her immensely with identifying notes whilst playing the Piano.
Her teacher Linda is a Wonderful teacher. Very knowledgeable in the field and very patient.
My son started guitar lessons in February this year from scratch. It is now September and he has already moved on to Preliminary grade work. John is a fantastic music teacher, it is clear that he is very very experienced as his teaching strategies are very precise considering my son is quite young. He engages and motivates my son without any pressure which has made my son really love his guitar lessons. John is also very organised and on top of things. His services are very professional and great value i am very satisfied with our time here. I highly recommed this music studio.
My 11 year old daughter has been learning the violin at Melody Music Academy for two years. She has made enormous progress and enjoyed lessons. Excellent teaching staff and great facilities. I highly recommend this music school to anyone who wants to learn musical instrument!!!
I started learning violin with Joni in July 2015. As an adult with no prior music abilities, I find Joni to be an excellent teacher. He is very attentive, and there is purpose behind every exercise. The lessons are very enjoyable, relaxing, and fun. I’m looking forward to many more lessons and continuing my progress. I would not hesitate to recommend Melody Music Academy. I began Piano lessons with John (Joni) earlier this year and he has been phenomenal as a teacher. He is very encouraging, patient and adaptive to different learning styles. At 30 learning a new instrument was a little daunting, however john has made the experience very enjoyable and easy. I would recommend john and melody music academy to anyone who wants to learn music!

I started learning violin here earlier this year and I have already improved so much! They are extremely organised and professional in everything, like making lesson plans and setting make up classes, and they are also encouraging, which I think is important. I look forward to music lessons now!

I rang Melody Music Academy nearly one year ago seeking a guitar teacher. I am an adult and my chosen instrument for many years was the piano. When I spoke with John Park, the director of the Academy, I told him that I wanted to expand my music horizon and learn the guitar. Immediately we were able to establish a rapport and John impressed me with his vast music knowledge and ability to understand what my needs were.
After experiencing the set up and the quality of the tutoring at the Academy, I enrolled my son to study bass guitar with Linda, another great teacher at the Academy. Recently, my daughter enrolled to renew her love of the piano and she finds John an exceptional teacher.
After almost 1 year of my musical journey, I could not be happier. John has not only proven to be a great guitar mentor, he has helped me develop other areas of interest that I have, such as song writing. I would not hesitate in recommending Melody Music Academy to students of any age.

I started learning piano this year with John at melody music academy and im so happy !! John is extremely understanding and delivers the best quality lessons . Every time I leave a lesson , I always feel like I’m improving and growing , and even outside of lessons John is always providing me with the best training books / music to help me grow as a musician . I didn’t think I would already be reading music , and we also have a great relationship as well . If there’s something I’m struggling with , John always provides me with extra activities to do at home , and it feels great knowing not only have I achieved so much in a short time .. but I also have a great teacher to help me reach all my music goals ! I have been talking piano lessons with Joni for the last 3 years. He is an excellent teacher with great knowledge about lots of different types of music, and creates a really relaxed atmosphere to learn in. I started taking lessons as an adult only able to read music, but was able to make solid progress. Joni combines both exercises that really improve your technique and the freedom to explore whatever types of music you want to play as well as the theory behind it. Highly recommended!

Singing and play piano is quite a challenge, now I am my own personal Choir thanks to Joni and of course the work you yourself put into it. If you can sneak an hour or two a day watching TV or playing video games you certainly can play a few chords in your own time
